El Patron Mexican Restaurant is rated 4.8 out of 5 stars, based on 34 reviews!
Very impressed by their menu, it was 80% seafood. There were at least two whole fish plates. The bartender was very nice and hospitable. The music was classic Mexican and nice. I took an Uber, there were lots around. I got a combination platter that included a very tasty crispy chile relleno. I'll be back.
Earlier this week, I went to El Patron, and It was the best meal I had in a very long time. You don’t always find REAL mexican food, but wow this puerco verde touched my soul. I highly recommend this restaurant, super nice staff!!
The tacos don't get any better than this.
Loved the hospitality the restaurant felt like home. Great food and drinks. This will always be my first choice for great Mexican food.
Highly recommend you check out this family owned Mexican restaurant. They treat you so well and there food is simply amazing. I would give this place 6 stars if i could.
This place gave me great service and the food was Amazing, would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone in the Denver area!
Their food is good but one thing that they need to do is English music sometime not all the time but some of the time
I have eaten here a number of times and each time was amazing! The service was quick and food, delicious! I recommend their taco takeout special; street taco style and only 2$.
Authentic dishes, chimichanga amazing. Salsas on point. Andrea awesome customer service. Will be back for sure.
Doesn't look like much but definitely do not judge this book by its cover. The staff were great and friendly and extremely patient with or 6 and 3 year olds and surprise cherry on top the food was absolutely amazing. One more reason I wished I lived here. THANK YOU!
Great service, delicious food, no matter what you order from here, you can't go wrong. My favorite is the Bean & Chicharone burrito with extra Chicharone on top of my burrito!!???? They also, service good Michiladas????
I never rate anything on google maps, but the food here is the way, the truth and the light so i feel obligated. I always get tacos from here on the weekends and theyre always delicious and never take long. Definitely give this place a try if you like authentic Mexican food.
Some of the most authentic Mexican food you can get in Denver. the menu is HUGE so you're bound to find something delicious that you like. They have anything from tacos, combo plates, fajitas, ALL types of seafood, salads, burgers, menudo, anything you can think of. The prices seem a little high at first but once your plate comes you'll understand why; you definitely get what you pay for. the plates are huge. I have a thing for restaurant's chips and salsa & their rice and beans, and El Patron gets my approval; the chips and salsa & rice and beans are always on point. Their beverages are also great! they have a great variety of drinks and the alcoholic beverages are always perfect as well. if you go in, get a Michelada. they are sooooo delicious and it's the most authentic michelada you're gonna find. Try this place out! it's so worth it
Good food and friendly staff. The chips come with green and red chile which is great! Fairly small place, but not bad if you need a quick bite. The lunch special is cheap too.
Food is really good I give her the 5 cuz it has excellent tortillas
Hole in a wall place, but the food and service was better than expected. Looking for authentic Mexican food? COME HERE. Don't be scared off with the prices, promise you'll have food for the next morning! Take a chance you'll love it, i sure did!
Nice quaint little place. The waitress was a nice young gal. She was phenomenal in service. The food was pretty good. Alot of spicy options
Great flavor and portion sizes. You get what you pay for. It's quality and authentic food.
Loved it! Fantastic fajitas, the shrimp was cooked perfectly. Good service, good music, homemade tortillas. Dont pass this up.
Wow. this restaurant is very fantastic. They all treat you like family. They have great food, big plates. The specialization i would say would be the Seafood, 7 seas, fajitas which can be steak, chicken, shrimp. They're not expensive, at all. Burritos are also there, for who ever loves them. Tacos which can be steak, alpastor (pork), tripe, chicken. I love this restaurant because there is a variety of food to pick. I would seriously recommend this fantastic restaurant.
I've never had a bad meal here and I eat here at least 2-3 times a month. My favorite mexican meal is chille rellanos (sp?). I usually get the combo that includes those and a cheese enchilada. I've gone with others who have gotten the tacos, tortilla soup and other dishes that were always declared to be fabulous! I'm also usually the only gringo in there, but that just means it's good and authentic.
My family and I regularly go to this restaurant. It is always clean and the service is good. The food is extremely delicious. I always leave happy. I really like that it is run and owned by a local family. I think that is why their food is so good. The only problem is that because of its location it is hard to find but I still highly recommend it!
El Patron is back! I ordered a delicious burrito to go and it was excellent. The food is authentic (as indicated by the actual Mexican people that eat there). There were some previous issues, but I went back and found out that the good food is back. Sure it costs a bit more than it did a couple of years ago. For good quality, authentic food I don't mind paying a little more. Check this place out...you won't be sorry.
Good news! Went back for lunch today and it was great once again!
One thing that puts this above many others: We were one of two groups with more than 10 people, all arriving within just a few minutes of each other and we were still in and out of there within an hour. No delay whatsoever!
Today I had the Carnitas Tacos and they were about some of the best carnitas I've had. Still loving the hot green salsa as well.
If you've been here before and didn't enjoy...I urge you to give it another try!
I visited El Patron last Saturday for the second time and it was as good as the first. The first time I had a week day lunch special of chili rellanos; they were softly fried and very tasty. Lunch specials are under $6.00 and a very good deal. On Saturday, three of us split the ceviche pescado and then each had a meal!!!! Note: This is way too much food for three people! We should have stopped after the huge platter of ceviche arrived accompanied with another plate of fried tostada shells. The ceviche platter was lined with cucumber and lime and the flavor was wonderful. It was a meal in itself ;definitely for two. My dining partners had fish tacos for their meal and cleaned their plates but suffered while doing it; I had carne asada tacos and took home dinner. I love El Patron as it is bright, clean, and run by friendly people.
This El Patron was on Taco Tour Two which I missed. I still need to do Rancho Libero and then I can comment on my favorite from tour two. So far IMO, El Patron is beating Tacos Junior from tour one by a very small petite nose. As I said in my Taco Tour One review, I prefer the dry carne asada with flavorful meat. El Patron's was right on the money. However, I was not thrilled by the two small chunks of bone but know that stuff happens. All in all a great taco asada.
A modest little restaurant with amazing food! Do not miss the camarones alacran! Chips are fresh and three different salsa that are really good. Serving sizes are VERY generous. Each entree could easily feed two.
This place has fast become my favorite Mexican eatery! You will ask for seconds on the mushroom salsa...the taste explodes in your mouth. I asked them if they bottled it! The servings are huge, easily allowing me to take plenty home for another serving, so that makes the reasonable prices there even more affordable. Make sure to try their bacon wrapped shrimp!
It's a modest setting but a great Mexican restaurant. Good food, good service, great margaritas. And you can't beat the price. I'll be back.
We were in the area for a few days and went there for dinner one night, and loved it so much we went back again a few nights later. As soon as we got there a very nice waiter gave us three different kind of salsas: a super spicy red salsa, a medium spicy green salsa, and a mild mushroom salsa. All three were fantastic! We had one vegetarian with us, and that was not an issue in the slightest.
Over the course of the two nights, we had various burritos, enchiladas, tamales, quesadillas, and chile reillenos. All of the combo plates were great, and the chile reillenos were especially tasty. The salad we had was iceberg-based, and didn't live up to the rest of the meal, but it did. We had the flan and the churos for dessert, and both topped off the meal very well.
Overall, the service was friendly, the food was great, and we can't recommend this place more.
The area seems a little shady but the restaurant is very welcoming inside. I was very impressed with the real flowers on the tables. The food is very authentic and amazing! You had me at "We have menudo every day". I'll be back soon!!
Went to this place for the first time craving seafood. I ordered the filter de Veracruz. I was not disappointed. Large fish filet in red sauce, Spanish rice and beans. Fresh tortillas, chip and salsa. A hole in the wall place with great food. I will go back for the 7 seas soup next. Large portions, fast and friendly service.
Don't be deterred by the look of this place. The food was amazing, the service was attentive and the drinks were strong. What more could you ask for? This was the most authentic Mexican food I've tried in Denver!
If your looking for great authentic mexican food, El Patrons is perfect. It was nice to taste original mexican food, especially this far from the border! This is a must try!
One of our favorite restaurants. Comfortable setting, very friendly service, and amazing food with an authentic feel. The soft corn tortillas are fluffy, warm , and delicious. Machaca is worth the trip.
